HEALTHCARE

SDWAN & SECURITY

The Challenge:

Los Angeles based mental health non profit organizations with 1,000 users across 11 locations was challenged with cost over runs for their existing MPLS solution.  They also faced issues with not having the level of redundancy they needed especially to support their plans for migrating apps and infrastructure to the cloud.

The Solution:

Atlas worked with the organization's IT and network team to develop a migration plan to include how to support next-generation firewall capability integrated to the VMware SDWAN edge devices to replace the existing hub and spoke topology.  Customer deployed VeloCloud (a VMWare Company) along with Zscaler's cloud security stack as well as primary fiber and secondary cable links at each site, tripling the existing bandwidth while providing seamless failover in the event of a link outage.

The Result:

This client reduced overall three year costs by $375,000, tripled their bandwidth and added next gen firewall, SSL inspection, sandboxing and simplified remote VPN capability for mobile workers.  The new infrastructure also vastly improved IT's visibility into network performance and simplified WAN and firewall management.
